Gun Dog Displays

Adrian and Caroline Slater with the Kipperridge Gundogs provide professional gun dog displays at shows throughout the UK. These showcase the best abilities of gun dogs, as well as being entertaining and a real crowd pleasing experience. The Kipperridge Gundogs showing at CruftsAdrian & Caroline have performed at many top shows over the length & breadth of the UK over the past 20 years now making them one of the most loved performances in the gun dog world of demonstrations. Top events such as The CLA Game Fair & The World Renowed 'Crufts' Dog Show have invited them back year after year to showcase their dog handling skills to a wide variety of audiences. Adrian's experience has seen him climb to the top of his field as a professional gun dog trainer performing at some of the most prestigious UK events.

Adrian & Caroline perform with their team of highly trained Labradors and Spaniels. The display involves how to train from the onset a gun dog to the finished article.

The initial demonstration starts with how to teach a puppy or youngster the foundation stages of obedience and retrieve. The audience are amused and captivated by the puppies which are shown in their raw stages of training... this is a fun part of the display were anything can happen!

Adrian then goes onto demonstrate intermittently with a number of dogs at different levels of their training, teaching the audience how to train important exercises such as steadiness to game and stopping on the whistle. Adrian commentates himself throughout the demonstration.... his commentary is not only highly informative but in parts, extremely amusing.

One of the highlights of the show is a short display were Caroline handles her trained Labrador to jump in excess of 6ft over a high jump and 14 ft across a long jump!

Other highlights include simulating a 'walked up' shooting display, with some loud bangs and missed birds.

The audience love the finale, which typically involves one of Adrian's Springer Spaniels being expertly handled through obstacles to retrieve a bunny rabbit out of an agility tunnel and another being skilfully handled around the arena in search of a bone.

The Kipperridge Display can accommodate any type of format to suit any event from Game & Country Fairs, equestrian events and dog shows. Our diary fills up fast though so don't delay, Contact Us today to discuss your requirements for your event ...
